OPEN POSITION FOR A FELLOWSHIP IN CLINICAL CANCER RESEARCH FOR THE ONCODISTINCT NETWORK AND THE CLINICAL TRIALS CONDUCT UNIT

Détails de la société

The Oncodistinct network was created in 2015 at the initiative of cancer centres in and outside of Europe. It is based at Institut Jules Bordet, in Brussels. The network aims to respond to the exponential changes in the oncology research landscape by accelerating treatment individualization, promoting multidisciplinarity, in clinical research and challenging current practices, particularly in settings with unmet medical needs. Oncodistinct is a research network bringing together leading academic investigators who share the same vision of innovative clinical research.

By building a strong collaboration between clinicians, scientists and partners in drug development, Oncodistinct develops early-to-later phase clinical trials with innovative designs and cutting-edge translational research components, all aiming to significantly improve patient outcomes. As of right now, Oncodistinct has 5 active clinical trials, and 3 upcoming clinical trials in many European sites and Middle East region.

The driving force of the network is its investigators’ think tank which generates innovative clinical research projects. Oversight and strategy decision making come from Oncodistinct steering committee which is composed of one representative per Oncodistinct centre. The day-to-day management of activities is supported by coordinating and operational teams.

The Clinical Trials Conduct Unit (CTCU) conducts clinical studies in a professional manner, in compliance with European Directives, regulations and Good Clinical Practice – GCP). These clinical studies are carried out in collaboration with pharmaceutical firms and/or academic partners. The clinical studies conducted at the Institut Bordet are coordinated by CTCU research physicians and teams. These doctors are responsible for monitoring patients and collecting data.
