Position Description

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

• Coordinate and share responsibility with the principle investigator and research team for all aspects of the research studies
• Prepare and maintain study documentation including database management and study data entry
• Function autonomously with guidance from the principle investigator
• Provide support to other research team members, where necessary
• Ensure that studies are conducted with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and REB and Research Institute policies and procedures
• Attend 1-2 hour home visits with families who live within 1 hour of SickKids
• Perform required study assessments during at home visits including but not limited to review of medication administration, medication diaries and adverse events
• Collection of blood samples during home visits and delivery to a lab at SickKids

Here’s What You’ll Need

• Graduate Degree in Nursing
• Must be willing to drive to facilitate home visits, have a valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a car. Reimbursement for gas will be provided.
• Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
• Previous experience in the coordination of research studies will be considered an asset
• Previous experience in neonatal care and blood sampling via heel prick will be considered an asset
• Advanced problem solving, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills
